Wip Wednesday Document Graveyard
Hello friends! In celebration/horror of it being very nearly a year since I started watching Boys Planet, I wanted to post a very special Wip Wednesday of all of the weird pre-debut shit I wrote this summer and cannot bring myself to finish. There are new things on my slate that I may or may not finish and while they definitely have common threads with these, there are just Issues with these now that I really can't be bothered to resolve lmao. Enjoy!
The concept with this one was posting two parallel fics at the same time, one from haobin's perspective another from mattwoong's. Set in the weird month before debut, both couples were trying to keep it a secret. There's a lot about both of these that I like but I just cannot get Gyuvin right for the role I want him in for this and thus I have not finished either. Idk I still like the haobin I might get back in there.

“Oh so you’re taking the wheel?” Hao teases, hands making their way up into Hanbin’s hair.
“Can I?” The look on his face is so earnest Hao might erupt into flames then and there.
He pretends to ponder it over. It’s a fun game they play, deciding who’s in control. More often than not Hanbin immediately relinquishes it to him. He’s so disciplined as a leader, but that all melts away when it’s just them making out at 2 am in the kitchen.
“Hmmm. I guess so—” and before he can finish Hanbin’s mouth is on his throat.
Hao laughs, probably louder than he should.
“We’re debuting in the summer, Hanbinnie,” his breath hitches, “I can’t wear a turtleneck to hide where you mark me.”
“I’ll just have to kiss you somewhere else then.” Hanbin whispers back, their lips nearly meeting before pressing wet on Hao’s ear lobe.
He’s laughing again, Hanbin makes it easy. He’s eager and in love and it’s easy. Sure, they’re keeping it a secret, but that’s easy too. Everyone’s just gotten so desensitized to their yearning gazes and delicate touches that they don’t even think twice about it now. Hanbin’s mouth trails back to his neck.
Easy to kiss, easy to love.
Easy is the last thing on Hao’s mind when he’s suddenly making eye contact with Gyuvin of all people, probably coming to the kitchen to get a fucking bottle of water or something. This is not the plan, this is not letting all of the kids know all together in a couple weeks.
This is Gyuvin walking in on them making out.
They stare at each other for what easily feels like an hour—until Gyuvin’s body catches up with him, falling to the floor with a clatter. The noise triggers flight in Hanbin, back towards Gyuvin, detaching himself from Hao’s neck and ducking behind the kitchen island. His eyes are wide, a little terrified.
And in the three seconds Hao was focused on Hanbin, Gyuvin was gone, not-so-quietly crawling back down the hallway.
“What are you doing?!” Hao asks in a sharp whisper. If it was to anyone else it would have been a hiss. The slam of Gyuvin’s door down the hall echoes after him.
“Who was it?” Hanbin ignores his question. His ears and bright red and jaw slack.
“Gyuvin.” Hao leaps off the counter, slippers squeaking as he makes his way over to Hanbin.
Of course it was Gyuvin. He kneels on the cold tile in front of him, placing his hands on Hanbin’s knees, rubbing little circles into the skin.
“Do you think he saw me? Do you think he knew it was me?” He’s worried in all the ways he has been for months.
We’re a lot alike aren’t we?
But they were different, and living together properly in the dorms exemplified that. Hao wasn’t out per se, but he certainly wasn’t trying to closet himself the way Hanbin has.
It’s so scary deciding how you want everyone to see you. To know you.
“Hanbin, baby, who else would he think it is?” Hao brushes Hanbin’s bangs delicately back with his pointer finger. The refrigerator buzzes loud beside them.
Something in Hanbin snaps back into place, his eyes refocusing on Hao’s. This wasn’t going to end in tears. Hao could see him formulating a plan already.
“We’ll talk to him tomorrow. In the morning before everyone else is up.”
Hao nods in agreement, it was an easy fix, it’s Gyuvin.
“It’s Gyuvin.” He settles on saying out loud before pecking Hanbin on the lips.
“It's uh—it's not just Gyuvin.”
“oh?”
“I told Matthew.”
“oh”
“How long has he known?”
“Since Say My Name, I felt weird not telling him after everything.”
“So you're saying Matthew’s known for nearly four months. And you've been asking me to keep it a secret.”
“Hyung—”
“Hanbin, the only person I've told is my mother. I haven't even told Kuanjui. Because you asked me to.”
“I know. I'm sorry.”
and the Untitled Mattwoong counterpart that I hardly touched lmao( Read more... )
Gyuvin, who has only been legal for six months, does not drink well.
“Matthew hyung, you’re close with Hanbin hyung. Jiwoong hyung, you’ve kissed men.”
“Professionally and otherwise.”

“What do you think about what gyuvin said?”
“About wrecking the group? I don’t know. I really didn’t realize that Gyuvin was that worried about Hanbin hyung and Hao. it's different for them though.”
“how's it different?”
“you know, they're in love and all that”
“oh?”
“Yeah, and we're just having fun.”
“Right. Yeah. Just having fun.”
“how do you know?”
“know what?”
“that they're in love”
“hanbin told me.” “and he acts different”
“He acts like a child. He never acted like this with the guys he messed around with while we were at cube.”
here's the mattwoong that I got so fucking close to finishing and then nearly turned into something for dry handjob with eyecontact fest but then got too busy and now it lives in my docs rotting,( Read more... )
and that's about it! I have like five pages of notes going for my non-linear timeloop-esque bullshit and a silly little doc for it too. who knows if I'll publish any of it, but at least I had fun writing it!
